The GMC Series is designed for intermittent or medium duty service for applications in the noted operating ranges. Directly connecting to other pieces of equipment provides an extremely compact system design. The six sizes of Gorman-Rupp close-coupled pumps connect to standard NEMA "C" flanges. Rotor shaft bores accept standard motor shafts; 5/8" standard (7/8", 1 1/8" and 1 3/8" are optional). Metric couplings are also available. At synchronous speeds, extra drive equipment, including couplings or outboard bearings, are not required. For continuous duty service, or for handling viscous liquids, the heavy duty GHC section.
