Model-61524

2 1/2” Hydrant Pit Valve

(3)
The Carter Model 61524 Hydrant Pit Valve is designed to provide deadman control of the refueling operation within the hydrant pit. Both air and lanyard operation is available. The unit is available with either 6-inch or 4-inch inlet flanges and both terminate with the 2½-inch International Standard Three Lug Aircraft Bayonet Adapter. Now also available with an adapter kit to install the unit in older 12 & 13" diameter pits with 3" mounting flanges. The 61524 utilizes many of the same parts as are used in the other Carter hydrant valves. The basic pit valve assembly consists of three parts, lower valve assembly, upper valve assembly and the pilot valve. The lower pit valve assembly contains a small isolation valve which will allow ...
MODEL-60554

4 x 4 Hydrant Pit Valves - 3rd Edition - API 1584

(8)
The new concept for hydrant pit valves – pilotless (64231 with lanyard override shown) includes ductile iron inlet housing, two-piece aluminum upper housing with replaceable stainless steel outlet with dust cap & high capacity pressure equalizing valve.
The Carter Model 60554 Hydrant pit Valve is a family of valves that includes lanyard, air or dual air/lanyard operated pilot valves, with the latter available with a defueling option.
The latest series of the 60554 Hydrant Pit valves meet all the requirements of the 3rd Edition of API/IP 1584, including the new breakaway and strength requirements. The basic hydrant pit valve consists of three basic parts, lower valve assembly, upper valve assembly (or API outlet adapter) and ...
MODEL-61654

6 x 4 Hydrant Pit Valves - API 1584 - 3rd Edition

(4)
The Carter Model 61654 Hydrant Pit Valve is a family of valves that includes lanyard, air or dual air/lanyard operated pilot valves, with the latter available with a defueling option.
The latest series of the 61654 Hydrant pit valves meet the latest 3rd edition of API Bulletin 1584 with regard to breakaway and strength requirements.
The basic hydrant pit valve consists of three basic parts, lower valve assembly, upper valve assembly (or API outlet adapter) and the pilot valve. The lower valve assembly contains an isolation valve which will allow the removal and servicing of the upper valve assembly and the pilot valve assembly while the pit valve is under pressure. (See service manual SM61654 for proper instructions). The upper ...
New Air/Fuel Pilots for Hydrant Valves (patents pending)

New Air/Fuel Pilots for Hydrant Pit Valves (patents pending)

(5)
In the 70’s Carter introduced a revolutionary new type of hydrant valve to remove much of the earlier complicated devices from the pit. The current 60554 hydrant pit valve was developed to be used with a pressure control coupler. This concept reduced the cost of hydrant systems by several magnitudes. Today there are only a few airports with the very obsolete hydrant pit valves with full pressure controls in the pits. As time goes by these are being phased out in favor of the less expensive to buy and to maintain units with the major controls on the coupler.

Now Carter introduces another concept that will reduce hydrant system maintenance costs even further. The relatively simple air pilot, standard on the 60554/61654 Hydrant ...
